I’m so excited to be sharing this new album by Eclipse 6 and also giving away one free album download to one of you! Eclipse 6 is an a cappella group who sings both sacred and secular music. Last year, their music video Hamildolph went viral! It’s a hilarious Christmas parody of Broadway’s hit musical Hamilton.
But today I’m talking about their newest album, Sing Thy Grace. It includes Christian favorites like Come Thou Fount, How Great Thou Art, and an old favorite of mine, Every Season (a cover of Kenneth Cope I believe) plus many more.
Their voices are flawless and their arrangements are beautiful. I like to think I have a good ear for this kind of critique as I was actually a professional a cappella singer for a minute long ago. However, I was asked to give an honest review and I have to say that my favorite song on this album by far is Abide with Me. As I sit here writing this, my 4 children are running around the house vying for my attention #bestmomaward. It’s chaotic and noisy. Yet, as soon as I turned on this song to review one last time, everyone stopped. This song instantly brought a spirit of love into our home. Maybe I’ll just play that one on repeat today.
