Resources to Help You Understand the Book of Mormon

When it comes to the Book of Mormon, we are always learning. No matter how many times you have read it, there’s always more it can teach you. But how can you get more out of your study of the Book of Mormon?

In this blog post, I’m sharing a few of my favorite – tried and true – resources that have helped me better understand the Book of Mormon. I know they will help you too!

Book of Mormon Made Easier

This is always my number one recommendation for supplementing your study of the Book of Mormon. It’s basically Book of Mormon for dummies! But way better! And you can find one made for teens right here!

Follow Him Podcast

And this is always the number one podcast I recommend. I am really picky when it comes to podcasts. I love how this one always draws straight from the scriptures without adding any fluff that could be misinterpreted. Plus, these two are hilarious and their guests are always so wise!

Book of Mormon Institute Manual

This is a totally free resource you can find in the gospel library. I used it one year for my study and learned so much!

The Book of Mormon Study Guide: Start to Finish Revised Edition

This study guide is a comprehensive, question-and-answer commentary that draws from thousands of the very best insights on the scriptures, including those from General authorities, Church magazines and manuals, respected scholarly commentaries, scripture reference books, and other publications.

Book of Mormon Study guide: Diagrams, Doodles, & Insights

If you like to doodle and draw – then you can fill your pages with doodles and drawings! Another person may want to write in great detail. Another may make lists, draw diagrams, etc. You can customize this study guide to your own personal preferences!

The Annotated Book of Mormon Annotated Edition

This is the first fully annotated, academic edition of the Book of Mormon in its 200-year history. Modeled after the Oxford line of annotated Bibles, it provides readers with the information they need to understand this classic text of American religious history.
