I share a lot of scripture study tips and methods, so it can seem overwhelming if you’re just starting out. Let’s focus on the next step. Here is everything you need to study the scriptures in 2025, from the actual scriptures, to study guides and supplements, to supplies! For Come, Follow Me, we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants, but we are also asked to read the Book of Mormon daily. So, I’ll be sharing everything you need for both. Use one or all – whatever you think you need to enhance your scripture study. Let’s go!
Let’s start with Doctrine and Covenants since that is what we will be studying for Come, Follow Me in 2025.
Wide-margin Doctrine and Covenants
If you don’t already have a blank Doctrine and Covenants, this one is my favorite because it has space on the sides to journal, make notes, doodles, or anything you want. I love starting with blank scriptures every once in a while if I’m beginning a new method of study.
Wide-margin Doctrine and Covenants PDF
In 2025, I am going digital! I decided to use the app Goodnotes to study my scriptures because I can write, add photos, doodles, and everything you can do on paper – but digitally!
Doctrine and Covenants Stickers
I created 100 of the cutest stickers to use in my digital study, but they can also be printed on sticker paper to be used in your hard copy of the Doctrine and Covenants!
Doctrine and Covenants Made Easier
This is my favorite study guide for the scriptures. They are so easy to use and understand and makes the scriptures come to life! You’ll love them!
Next, I’m sharing everything I love to study the Book of Mormon.
I just finished using this one for my Book of Mormon study and I loved it! Plenty of room to jot down your thoughts and questions, and such a cute cover!
Wide Margin Book of Mormon PDF
I’ve already been using this PDF on Goodnotes and filling it up with stickers, thoughts, questions, and so much more. I can’t believe how much I have learned from making it my own.
Here are the stickers I created to go in my Book of Mormon. Again, you can use them digitally, or print them out on sticker paper. Each sticker also tells you the reference of where to put it! So fun!
The Book of Mormon Made Easier
Here is the same study guide I shared above, but for the Book of Mormon. You will learn so much from these!
Finally, here are my favorite supplies that I use for any type of scripture study.
I share these all the time because I use them all the time. They are gel, no bleed markers that work perfectly on the thin scripture paper, or regular paper. They come in pastel, bright, earth tones, etc.
These are the best colored pencils! Tons of colors, great quality, and work great for scriptures. I used these last year along with the markers and it made my scripture pages so beautiful. Really great deal too!
Wide Margin Standard Works PDF
If you want to download a PDF of the entire standard works (and save money), this is the way to go! Includes all books of scripture as a wide-margin PDF.
If you’re studying the scriptures digitally with Goodnotes, I highly recommend using an iPad. You can use your phone or a computer, but it’s a lot harder. If I were in the market for an iPad right now, I would get this one. It’s the best bang for your buck. I would also recommend getting it from Amazon, or from Best Buy.
If you’re using an iPad, you’ll need an Apple Pencil so you can write and highlight, etc. Don’t be like me and get the wrong one though. Each iPad is compatible with a different pencil. This one is compatible with the iPad I shared above. I found that the best places to get it are Best Buy or straight from Apple.
