If you’ve ever wondered how your Relief Society Council should go, you’re not alone. Many of us want to be told exactly what to do and how to do it, but this is a worldwide church which means that every ward is going to look different. So, where do we start?
The Church handbook states that “a member of the presidency leads the sisters in counseling together for five to ten minutes about relevant challenges, needs, and opportunities. Focusing on the Savior in this counseling will help sisters build testimonies, receive temple ordinances, keep covenants, and increase their discipleship. The Relief Society presidency selects topics to counsel about based on the needs of the sisters.”
So, while every ward is unique and should choose topics that are based on the needs of their sisters, here are some general topics, discussion prompts, and questions to get you started.

President Johnson shared, “It’s a tender time where sisters have the opportunity to open up and share their most personal feelings about what’s happening in their lives, all with a focus on our Savior Jesus Christ.”
