Santa’s Favorite Cookie

santa's favorite cookie

These chocolate chip cookies are definitely Santa’s favorite around these parts.  You can make them jumbo or normal (still big) and either way they are soft on the inside and perfectly golden on the outside.  Pair them with a giant jar of milk and Santa might leave you an extra special present!

Santa’s Favorite Cookie

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Chocolate chips

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.  In a large mixing bowl, add butter and sugars.  Mix until smooth, then add eggs and vanilla.  Next, add the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.  Add as many or as little chocolate chips as you like.

For jumbo size cookies, roll 1/2 cup of dough into giant balls.  Place 3 on a baking sheet and bake for 15-17 minutes.  For normal cookies, roll 1/4 cup of dough into balls.  Bake for 12 minutes.

Enjoy!

  1. These are fabulous, perfectly shaped, wonderfully tasting cookies. I took them to a church party and they were gone in just a few minutes when the table was full of other treats. I have made them this Christmas Day for my family. We will have a house full of kids and grandkids. Thanks so much
