I have always had thin and fine hair, which is great! I know that all hair is not created equally. But let’s face it – if something could make my hair thicker and fuller, it would definitely pique my interest. I just started this home remedy for hair growth treatment and I’m so excited about it. After a lot of research (like, months and months), I am going with this super simple, but proven hair treatment. Here’s what I use:
Fractionated Coconut Oil
You want to make sure you get fractionated, not regular. Fractionated stays in liquid form and is overall better for your hair.
Rosemary Oil
This is the secret ingredient! You don’t want too much though, just 2-3 drops per treatment. I’ll share the recipe below.
Shower Scalp Brush
This will help exfoliate and wake up your hair follicles.
I will also use one drop of peppermint oil sometimes too!
Mix 2 tbsp. of the coconut oil and 2-3 drop of rosemary oil. If you’re using peppermint oil, use one drop of that. You can warm the oil if you want, or just put it on as is. Take your fingertips and dip into oil mixture, then massage all over your scalp. (If you’d like to watch the video of how I apply it, just click here) When your scalp is saturated, run additional oil into the strands of your hair all the way down to the tips. Leave in for at least one hour. Wash out.
This treatment is best done about twice a week. After one time, I noticed my hair felt noticeably healthier! It was shinier and had less static. Research shows that doing this treatment consistently will promote hair growth with a noticeable difference in 3-6 months. So, stay tuned!
